My Festival must haves....

*Festival season is upon us but where has the sun gone, but that sure doesn't stop us from wearing our favourite festival outfits even if it is a little chilly we will all soon warm up after all that dancing.
As some of you may know this weekend just gone was the Isle of Wight festival and may I add it was bloody amazing.
*Queen. WOW where do I start it was absolutely amazing and Adam Lambert really knows how to put on a show without trying to be Freddie. If you ever get the chance to see Queen go even if you aren't a huge fan, just go for it cause you'll love it.
*my essential festival must haves...
(before the event, after and during!)

*Packing for the festival is almost as much fun as going to the event, picking out outfits for everyday is almost like looking through a childhood dressing-up box. I love it!
Festivals are the time to bring out my inner hippie, well I never hide my inner hippie I just bring her fully out at festivals.  I pull out all the stops with flower headdresses, tassels, sequins, beading and endless amounts of jewellery. This is festival fashion after all so anything and everything goes.
(well pretty much anything goes apart from bum cheeks hanging out of shorts and them awful morphsuits..... No just no)
when going to a festival you need to pack for every season literally, cause in Britain we don't particularly have just a summer it is mixed with spring, autumn and winter all in 1 day.
I also take Tights to put on in the evenings because they are small and easy to pack in any bag even a tiny one. I also take a big knit but I never have to carry it around because my rather large family always make camp in the same place and I always leave it with them.
I don't ever do the camping at a festival, I just never could do it but luckily I live around 30 mins away so I just walk or get dropped off. Thank goodness.
Whatever the weather I pile on the jewellery with fingers full of rings, arms full of different bracelets and a huge range of different necklaces and of course don't forget about the sunglasses to hide your hangover or the Sunday eye bags.

*so lets get on with the essential festival must haves......
* firstly Fake tan has to be on the festival must haves I always fake tan around a day before the festival, I feel it gives you more of a natural glowing tan.
*Dry shampoo is a must for any festival even though I don't camp by the last day I just can't be bothered to wash my hair again, so the good old dry shampoo is a massive life saver. Of course if you're camping dry shampoo is gunna be your best friend.
*The essentials for your bag at the festival tissues, hand gel, plasters, paracetamol, purse and of course that emergency poncho.
*other essentials that I love to have in my hand bag or bum bag mini mirror lip crayon, lip liner, lip balm and a nail file cause you never know when you're going to break a nail.
*sun glasses.
*Jewellery and lots of it.
*Hats for bad weather or bad hair day.
*Headdresses or floral headbands are defiantly a must have to nay festival.
*warm layers.
*wellies/and or biker boots ( I don't own wellies so I just put on my Dr martens).
*cross body bag and or bum bag.
*tent.
*camping chair.
*warm clothes to sleep in.
*Wash bag.
*Make up bag.

that's it for all my festival essentials, hope you enjoyed this blog post. (links will be below)
If you're going to a festival this year stay safe and make sure you have the time of you're life.

Welcome to my Neal's Yard Haul...
For those of you that don't know what Neal's Yard is or aren't to sure about what they do or there ethics behind there products I'm just going to give you a little background knowledge.
"Organic health and beauty is there passion. They're on a mission to transform people's lives and protect the environment by encouraging a more natural and holistic way of living."
For Information go to Neal's yard link
 Facial skin care:
Firstly I'm going to start it off with Skin care-
Our skin is forever changing, so many factors effect our skin on a daily bases from pollution, the weather, stress and even the food we eat. So don't be afraid if you skin type doesn't stay the same forever because our skin goes through so much. Being the largest organ of the body we need to take our time to look after our skin and I found the perfect way to do that is by going all natural and all organic and the answer is NEAL'S YARD.
Benefits from- Rehydrating rose toner
*Leaves skin feeling beautifully refreshed
*Helps prepare your skin to better absorb moisturisers
*Also contains balancing damask rose oil
This toner has worked wonders on my skin, my skin has never been so clear apart the hormonal days of the month but thats just normal for a teenage girl. Putting this on after my bath or shower really refreshes and brightens up my skin. LOVE IT!

Benefits for- Orange flower facial wash.
*Effortlessly lifts away grime and make-up
*Leaves skin feeling soft and fresh
*With soothing calendula and aloe vera
This facial wash has been a life saver the last few months with the cold weather and the wind has made my skin so dry and dehydrated, From using this cleanser and the rose toner my skin has been rehydrated and has never felt so fresh. Highly recommend this cleanser to anyone who suffers from dry skin. It's a must...
Organic eye make up remove.
when I first saw this I thought how can eye make up remove be organic, I just couldn't get my head round it. But since using this eye make up remover I've noticed how gentle it has been on my skin and how I hardly need any to remove make up from round my eyes. (but it stings like hell if you get it in your eye, but of course how gets it in there eye any way not me hehe).

Now where to start with the rose beauty balm, this has so many amazing properties but sadly my skin just doesn't agree with it :( I believe it is because I'm so sensitive but I'm definitely going to try it out again because I just love it. And it smells amazing.
*multi purpose beauty must have
*cleanses, exfoliates, moisturises and I even found it really lovely to put on before my make up, I found that my make up seemed to stay on for much longer.

White tea facial mist is what I call (insert Miranda's mum haha) life saver in a bottle. For those hot summer days;which we get all the time in the UK, it is great to spritz all over the face for instant hydration and to freshen up the skin. I'm definitely going to be taking this too Australia with me for that long flight and the hot sunny days to freshen up my skin. Its also great because you can even do it over make up.

This one is new so I haven't tired it yet but I've heard its amazing.
*Purifies for a clearer complexion
*Decongests, Ideal for blemish prone skin
*Perfect for on the go blemish control.
Sounds amazing to me, can't wait to try it out.

Sadly all of my mineral powder foundation has ran out, I'm so sad because it has been  amazing on my skin and has been great for touching up my oily T-zone. A new one is going to be ordered this week for sure.
*light and buildable for silky soft beautiful skin.
*it is also enhanced with beautiful skin nourishing organic oils.

Mineral bronzer.
This bronzer is absolutely beautiful, it is so easy to apply to the skin and gives an effortless effect.
*a sun kissed glow
*long lasting nourishing coverage.

Bath and Body

Geranium and orange hand wash is beautiful not like anything I've used before leaves hands feeling beautiful and soft.
This is my new bath and shower gel, as I've previously used Aromatic foaming bath which was too die for. My skin felt so soft and conditioned after my bath. I thought why not try a different one, so I can see which one will be my favorite in the end.

I love essential oils.
I have quite a few so I just picked out my two favourites the Lavender for relaxing and the Lemon which is great for cleansing .
I love to put drops of these in my bath or add them to grapeseed oil when doing massage. I love how each and every essential oil has a different form of healing properties. Just blows me away.
Love them.

Have a great weekend.
Enjoy Shopping at Neal's yard.
Loads of love
Drew xx

outfit of the day

Happy Tuesday, you beautiful humans. How's your day going? I'm having a lovely day thank you, my cousins came over and the sun is shinning again (but this gunna be the last day of it for this week I believe).

I thought I would show my outfit of the day, it's still not really that warm at the moment but who cares if you wanna look good you have to pay the price of being cold. Only joking I hate being cold I would much rather have my fingers haha and stay warm.

O.O.T.D

So before I get started on my O.O.T.D here is a lovely selfie of me ;)

I Just love the detailing on this top from ZARA, the patches really change up the top from being a plain old stripy top (don't get me wrong I love a striped top) to a more exciting and adventures outfit.

Time to snuggle up with a great book...

Its time to light that wood-burner put the kettle on and make yourself the best cup of tea in the world.  As you can tell one of my favourite things to do is to sit down with a lovely fruit tea, in front of the fire with  one of my favourite books. Now take a deep breathe and relax.......

Alexa Chung- IT

As you can tell by the front cover of my Alexa chung book IT, it has been well read and traveled well. I have re-read this book some many times because I just find it so interesting to find out about Alexas life and each time I read it I pick up something new that I hadn't picked up the other hundred times I've read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in fashion or modelling or if just really love reading biographies I recommend this book to you.

How to be Parisian, Wherever you are

This is a bloody amazing book! I can't thank my amazing friend Mia enough for buying me this book for my birthday. Once I started reading it I just couldn't put it down,  I believe I read this book in around 3 days. If Paris is one of your favourite cities in the world just like it is mine then this book is for you, cause you get to read and imagine what life is like for a Parisian. Just any one thinking about reading this book just go for it you won't regret it, I promise you that!

The Craft Lou Teasdale

I love this book because it shows you great hair ideas and make up ideas. Also Lou explains in the book how she got into fashion and make up and she also gives advice on how to get into the industry. To be truthfully honest with you I haven't tried anything from this book yet but I have tried bleach london hair dye, like Lou recommends in this book. But I just love looking at all the cool ideas and wishing I could do them.

Meringue girls cookbook

The recipes in this cookbook are amazing! Every time I look through it my bottom lip drops and my mouth just feels with moisture. I'm excited to say that on Tuesday I am going to be attempting to make the cinnamon meringue kisses. (fingers crossed they go well.) If so then there will be a blog post up on them in the next week or so.

John Green- The fault in our stars and Looking for Alaska
I really like John Green as an author and I was hooked on both these books for days until I finished them. I can't wait to order some more of his books and then  get reading them, if they are anything like these two then they will be amazing.
